Cross-Axis Joint Assembly Cell

Precision-link linear indexing-based assembly line to produce automotive ball-connector suspension component.  This system includes thirty-two (32) assembly and test stations to assemble the ball-cage assembly, two (2) protective boots, and four (4) closing rings.

• Servo press and roll system for permanent rollover assembly of the ball-joint.
• Bowlfeeders and step feeders for feeding and singulating nine (9) assembly components.
• Thirty-two assembly and inspection stations.
• Four (4) vision inspection systems to verify correct assembly.
• Gantry-mounted touchscreen human-machine interface.
